I was told that I had nothing to worry about because I was having a c-section and doctors only have to treat you if you are having a vaginal birth. At three weeks of age my son developed GBS meningitis leaving him with severe brain damage, hydrocephalus, and other disabilities as well as being legally blind. It has been and still is a rough road. My son is 7 years old now (Praise God). I truly feel that it was God's divine purpose for my son's life, even though I don't understand it now. I know that if it wasn't for my faith and relationship with Jesus Christ my son would not have survived and I couldn't have made it.
