Olivia was 3 weeks old when she got late-onset GBS, which led to sepsis and bacterial meningitis. She went from being perfectly normal, to limp, feverish and "within 30 minutes of death" (according to the nurses and doctors) within just 4 short hours while she was sleeping.
After two weeks in the hospital receiving treatment, she was back to normal and we now have a healthy and happy little girl. We are extremely fortunate and appreciate every single day we have with our amazing girl. (Worth noting: I tested positive for GBS when I went into pre-term labour at 32 weeks, but when I delivered her at 36 weeks I tested negative.)
